Do you want to claim your session on Medicare?

Bulk billing or Medicare rebates are available to many people wishing to speak to a psychologist via video conferencing (telehealth). Those eligible include anyone:

  • Feeling anxious or overwhelmed as a result of COVID-19

  • Living in a rural area (see below)

  • Whose mental health was negatively impacted by this year’s bushfires (no GP referral needed. Just book straight in. You do not need to have been directly impacted by the fires).

  • With a diagnosed mental health condition (including depression or anxiety).

  • With an eating disorder

  • With children with autism

For all except bushfire related sessions, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP and a referral to Rural Health Connect or the psychologist you wish to speak to. Rebates vary depending on the qualifications of the psychologist you speak to and the length of your appointment. Please talk to your GP for more information and ask them to fax your referral to the number listed under “For GPs” on our website.

If you want more information about the different rebates available please contact us at info@ruralhealthconnect.com.au or on 0427 692 777.

Do you want to get started straight away?

If you would rather not consult your GP or want to book an appointment straight away, you can pay the full fee and get started now. Speak to the psychologist you want online as many times as you want. Some private health insurance companies cover psychology sessions done online so it may be possible to claim this way.
